UASKOS with a KDE-style high contrast desktop
This UASKOS preset uses a familiar, highly configurable desktop structure inspired by KDE workflows.
How this desktop works
A bottom panel keeps the application launcher, running tasks, workspaces and system status in one predictable place. Windows remain independent, movable surfaces designed for conventional multi-window work.
Breeze High Contrast increases separation between controls, text and surfaces throughout the shell for a more explicit high-contrast presentation.
What this preset includes
- Bottom panel with application launcher and running tasks
- Floating, independently managed application windows
- Visible workspaces and system status controls
Workflow
The arrangement favours discoverability: applications are launched from a structured menu, active work stays visible on the panel and common system controls remain close at hand.
Who it is for
It is a practical starting point for everyday computing, development and users who prefer a traditional desktop with extensive room for personalisation.
UASKOS opens on a desktop-sized screen.
The mobile interface will be a different operating environment, not a compressed desktop.
